Sometimes I wish I had a time machine so I can go back in time and take the “safer path”. I regret some of my past decisions, but not that kind of regret that keeps me up at night. In fact, it’s the opposite as I remember that if I went to the “safer path” I lost some nights. So when nostalgia gets to me, I think of the famous speech Steve Jobs did in 2005:
Your time is limited, so don’t waste it living someone else’s life. Don’t be trapped by dogma — which is living with the results of other people’s thinking. Don’t let the noise of others’ opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary.
Tim Cook just announced that Apple revenue will not be the level they expected, just 84 billions in the fourth quarter. This is because people will not change their iphone so soon, after only one year.
I think that Apple has a plan B. And this will be iPhone 9, or iPhone SE3, call it whatever you want. It’s simple from Apple point of view to take the 4.7 form factor of the iPhone 8, update it’s internals and slap a full edge with a notch LCD screen on it and call it iPhone 9. They will change the market target from the very high-end where they sold all they could sell at over 1000$, and move a bit lower in the 500$-999$ market.

“The enemy of a good plan is the dream of a perfect plan.”
― Prussian General Karl von Clausewitz, Vom Kriege, 1832
I was planing to write a post like “one a day, everyday, for a month” where I was going to set for myself a goal to write a blog post every day – quite a challenge, but probably a failed one from the start. I know that I cannot produce a post every day. My life don’t allow it, and I also have good days and bad days. So what is the point to set myself a goal I cannot reach. To feel bad about it? No. Don’t let your ego dictate to you and do not lie to yourself. You need to be true to yourself.
“Everyone thinks of changing the world, but no one thinks of changing himself.”
― Leo Tolstoy
I’d like my 40s to be about taking destiny into my own hands and finding path to work independence, working on what I want and on my own schedule.
I wasted 4 months in a Plan A bid and now it is time to move to Plan B and use this blog more. Daily if possible! Plan A was to write here long texts but now Plan B is to write daily micro-thoughts and whatever crosses my mind.
